New Members
We would like to offer anyone that is thinking of joining the opportunity to meet a couple of the committee members before attending a full meeting. This is because the first meeting can be scary for some and it’s easier if you know a couple of people beforehand.

NewsLetter/Update st paddy’s weekend

First up,
my apologies for this being late, I was Ill, and then I couldn’t find the damn list (people rearranging the darned house while i’m away…sheesh).

Secondly,
There is no meeting this Monday as it’s a bank holiday and so is Easter Monday. The next meeting is Monday 31st March

Thirdly,

Spin South West aired a documentary on LGB issues;

http://www.spinsouthwest.com/shows/spin_talk.php

“Filling our shoes on Monday will be an interesting documentary called.  ’Chasing A Rainbow’. One in ten Irish people are gay. This means approximately 15,000 young people in the South West are Lesbian, Gay or Bi-sexual. Chasing A Rainbow is an hour long documentary which examines life as a young gay person in the South West; from coming out to friends and family to what support services are available for the gay community in this region.”

Fourthly,
It was fab to see Paddy, John and Patrick at the meeting last Monday Night.

Fifthly,
Paddy is entering the race to become the SU President would like our support in this endevour. Elections will be held on 28th March

Sixthly,
Myself and the two speakers were the only people to turn up to the debate on marriage equality, even though it was a disappointing turn out, the debate was still good and we won.

Seventh on the list,
Club Wilde, the fundraising event for Rainbow Support Services has been having a little trouble with its inception. Rainbow Support Services are working on it and the next event may be in April. Stay Tunned.

Eighth on the list,
Queer Do - planning continuing - need to get posters done, look into ENTS etc. Proposal is for a male couple and a female couple on a wedding cake - mostly black and white.

Ninth on the list, (removed)

Paddy McHugh announced that he was hosting a Sex-Quiz in Java’s at the Scholar’s Club on the following day (Tuesday) at 4pm as part of
RAG Week

Eleventh on the list,
(removed)

Number Twelve on the list,
Congrats to Shelia Fits for winning the Alternative Miss Ireland 2008. We knew you would do it. Love hugs and lots of good stuff for the new year babe.

okay, me thinks that’s it.

La boutique is on next sat night.

Also, don’t forget,
