Hey people…thanks for a great showing last night at the movie, it was great to see you all there, and once again, I'm sorry for leaving abruptly, but first day at work and well knackered. The reason why we watched it on the computer was that the Christian soc has the projector booked every Monday night for the semester…which is a pity, but nothing to be done about it. Pity that clubs and socs didn't have another one on hand for just such an occasion…Anyway, on with the info.
NEXT MEETING:
As Monday is a bank holiday we've decided to forgoe the meeting next week, after that if ye want to meet up let me know and I'll arrange it.
DROP - IN:
This runs every Monday night from 5.30 till about 7pm. Ger Hanley who those who attend the meetings will know, runs this. He's a fully qualified counsellor and well able for any questions ye might have. Also not for anyone with sexuality issues, if yer feeling stressed out, just go along and vist him. He's in 'C' block, 'M' floor where the councellors usually hold shop. He's easy to talk to and has information on nearly everything you can think of. Use the service as its part of his mandate and part of OUT in UL.
HAND - BOOK:
Yes I know yer sick of hearing about it…well its done (at least all that I had to do with it is done), when and if the other peices arrive they will be added. I gave a copy to Ger as he is the LGBT Liasion Officer in UL and one to NIALL who is your incoming president. I'm glad to be rid of it.
NEW FRESHERS BOOKLET:
As ye aren't happy with my attempts at changing the size of the font (lads seriously now *grin*), I'm going to pass it onto the incoming pres to sort out in time for the new semester.
FRESHERS NIGHT SLIDE SHOW:
I'll be adding the images that we took of the new and old soc to it soon, I need to get lizzy and kitty together and finish it off, as well as with Ger's premission a pic of him for it. Then that will be done and dusted and another feather in our collective caps.
MOVIE NIGHT:
If you want another movie night please let me know, we'll try to get speakers, and maybe if the christian soc don't mind, have the projector…maybe!!!
GLORIA:
Gay and Lesbian Choir will be singing in limerick on the 19th of May, 8pm in the Belltable, it costs 15 euro non - student and 10 euro student. Well worth a gander if I do say so meself.
BEBO PAGE:
Okay I'm at it again…right so…do we want to make the bebo page a person and privitise it with only the soc committee person, or person's deemed to be working on it with access to the log - in and password codes? or do we want to leave it as is…its make yer minds up time again folks…let us know this is the last time this semester that I will ask.
WEBPAGE:
Okay, so we made a forum for us all to play on, only no one's playing…what do you want from the OUT in UL webpage and forum? Let us know and we'll do our best to supply it.
PICTURES:
I'm issueing a call to anyone that has pictures of the events we've run and attended that they don't mind sharing to forward them onto this account, they will be used for the Slide show and on the bebo page. I especially want images from snowballs and queerbash…the raffle and auction would be nice. Thanks folks.
RAINBOW SUPPORT SERVICES:
