Right with that done, on with the news!
Next meeting:
Monday 3rd of April at our new venue up in the meditation room, this area is comfertable and affords us the use of a kettle to make tea and coffee. Don't forget that there is a drop - in at the counciling centre between 5 - 6 in the evening with the meetings begining at 7 pm.
Directions as follows…go to the first floor, block A. Go down past the fish tank, on the side of the postgrad reading room and computer room. Go through the two brown doors and take the stairs directly to your left, keep going up the stairs until you get to the top, there is a rainbow flag on the door. The second way is to go to the venus labs and take the stairs straight to the top (any one with a heart condition, or out of shape may want to go the first way).
Coming out workshop:
The third and last of these is on in the MEDITATION ROOM (see above for directions), this thursday at 7.00 pm we're showing the movie 'TRANSAMERICA' as part of the workshop on coming out, we hope to see you all there, pop corn, and candy will be supplied.
GAY BALL:
Last call for anyone intrested in going, the soc are paying for the tickets which are 45 euro, the rooms are 50 per room (not per person sharing) and 17 euro for the afters. We'll be wanting to head down before seven on the 30th and I need to know by the latest this evening who all is going. So far we've three.
Bowling:
if anyone wants to go, e-mail and we'll sort something out.
Clubs and Socs Ball:
The soc has one ticket left, who wants it? e-mail the list and let me know.
QUEERBASH:
Right so, the posters will be going up on friday for this event around our uni, we'll be sending them out to the other uni's today and tomorrow as well as posting them around town.
Next week, we'll be making up the party packs of condoms, femi packs and our websites/ forum logos all will be expected to help in this.
Decorating commitee needs to decide what way they want to decorate the place, don't forget we've three rooms to do, so ideas welcome.
We'll be contacting the staff of ul to invite them along for the night, and contacting two hotels looking for a reduced rate for anyone coming in from out of town.
This is going to be a busy week as far as QUEERBASH is concerned, any help being offered will be most welcome.
GAY FREINDLY NIGHT:
We all know that since BAR 3 closed down there hasn't been much of a selection of venues to call our own, well thanks to one or two people, bentley's has begun a gay freindly venue for us. This week it's on a friday night, please go along and see what you think.
Also, might be an idea to go to riddlers and get a feel for the place…
okay folks, so that's it for this week again, I hope ye all have a good week and I hope to see you at one or two of the events mentioned above. If I've forgotten anything, please contact me and let me know.
